Sometimes our foster pets come to us with odd names, ones that don't seem to fit them. Sometimes we opt to change these names. But "Tsarina" is the perfect name for this regal or should I say imperial beauty. She has such dignity and grace. With her charcoal coat with tan accents and a blaze on her forehead, she wears her 10 years lightly and appears to be in perfect health despite being a little plump. She's on a good diet and may yet shed a few pounds. She has extraordinary big green eyes. Tsarina had been in her former home for her entire life, but conflict between her and a younger male cat made the owner decide to give her up. Although Tsarina was a bit confused and frightened at first, she quickly sized up her new home and decided she quite liked it. She goes about my house and selects various places to spend some of her valuable time, but her hands-down favorite is on our porch where she has a splendid view of our abundant wildlife. Tail twitching, she avidly watches the passing parade, her favorites being the chipmunks. She enjoys her naps but has her active phases and is a pleasant surprise as I sit at the computer or in front of the TV. She is extremely affectionate and luxuriates in being stroked and petted. She is not fearful of strangers at all and doesn't run for hiding when someone arrives. Rather she'll come to them in friendly fashion. I've had two foster dogs while she's been in residence here and she gets along fine with them as long as they leave her alone. She'll touch noses sometimes. She uses her litter box perfectly. She has been spayed and had her shots and is ready to be a wonderful companion for someone. To apply for adoption, please fill out an on-line application at www.saveohiostrays.org. SOS offers a “TWICE AS NICE” program – adopt one kitten that is fixed, wormed and utd on shots for only $75, and your second kitten is no charge! Kittens always do better in pairs, and this is a great deal! SOS NEVER ships pets and will not adopt out to a driving radius greater than 3 hours from Medina, Ohio.
