Beau is a 65 pound, 3 year old shepherd mix who still has a lot of youthful energy and lives to play. He would do best with another equal sized dog playmate with an equal sized energy level or a active owner who might need a running partner. A fenced yard would be great for him to chase a ball or Frisbee. He's fine with dog savvy cats but if they run, the game is on and he will chase, but not hurt them. He went through a training program to teach him the basics, then picked up many good house manners taught by his foster mom. He sits to be petted and sits and waits to be told he can eat from the bowl put down in front of him. If asked to, he will stay and wait to be told he can go out an open door. He even stays out of the kitchen when anyone is in it so he's not in the way. He might not be a good choice for a first time dog owner because he's still a work in progress who needs a dog savvy owner willing to continue teaching him whats expected of him. He is housebroken and crate trained and he is waiting to find a home where he can play with and be loved by his very own family. His adoption fee is $150 fully vetted.
