            Atlas has received lots of adoption interest, and it’s easy to see why—he’s a striking, sweet, goofy 40 lb two year old with big energy and floppy ears.
As his foster, here’s what we’ve learned: Atlas is still very much a young dog who needs exercise, structure, and continued training. He’s working on not jumping and not using his mouth to show excitement, so a home without small children is best. He currently gets a short daily walk but needs more activity.
Atlas is extremely social and thrives with other dogs. He plays hard, runs full speed, wrestles, and loves to cuddle with canine friends. Without another dog to run and play with, his humans will need to provide significant exercise and outlets for his energy.
He sleeps quietly in a bedroom crate at night but struggles with daytime crating and will most likely bark while adjusting. He is house trained, and the foster has come to a comfort level that he can be trusted without daytime crating.  He’s curious about small dogs and cats but shows playfulness, not prey drive—dog savvy cats should be fine.  
Atlas is also very athletic and has climbed a 4 ft fence so a secure 6 ft fenced in yard is optimal. And most of all Atlas loves all humans too!  He is a loving, social, energetic dog who will thrive with guidance, activity, and ideally a playful canine companion.
Atlas' adoption fee is $150 fully vetted. Save Ohio Strays does not have a shelter. Our dogs are integrated into their foster homes who can tell you all about them to make the transition into your home informative and supportive.
